Hebrew and Arabic are the two main languages, but a lot of locals also speak English.
Israel uses shekels, as we use dollars.
The cheapest water bottle I have seen costs 4.50 shekels, which is equivalent to approximately 1.28 U.S. dollars.
My best meal was hummus! I had tried it before when I was back home, but I never liked it. I decided to give it another try here since it's popular here. I ended up loving it! It's a tasty dip made from chickpeas, lemon and tahini. My second favorite has to be falafel! The falafel itsef is made of chickpeas and different spices. It is served in pita bread along with other vegetables like pickles, shredded red cabbage, diced tomatoes, cucumbers, and parsley!
I spent time at an Arabic coffee shop. Some musicians were playing, and I found it to be quite relaxing.
