Our meals were delicious; however, we realized after paying that the bread and the water cost us an additional 6€. Along with restaurants, locals will also try to make money off unsuspecting, naíve tourists. Be careful if someone you don't know approaches you offering you things!
Greece was so much fun to live in, and it also definitely taught me to be more aware of my surroundings!
My favorite homemade meal was garlic shrimp pasta! (https://therecipecritic.com/lemon-garlic-parmesan-shrimp-pasta/)
My most memorable meal out was at a restaurant called "To Kastro" (Το κάστρο), where I had the grilled meat platter which came with Greek souvlaki, kebap and panseta. (This roughly translates to "streaky pork" in English). In Greek, they just call it "Mix κρεάτων" (mix of a bunch of meat).
As the week leading up to my trip was the final exam week, I spent the vast majority of my time studying. When studying, I like to listen to a lot of instrumental rock by artists like Nick Johnston or Polyphia.
I was able to travel in the middle of my semester because semesters in Sweden are split into two different study periods. In between each study period, there are two weeks where there are no classes: a "dead" week to study and prepare for examinations, and the second week is examination week. I was fortunate enough to only have one exam that took place on Friday of "dead week".
