Whether you are at the mall, a restaurant or even the park, you will probably hear Afrobeats! A very popular Afrobeats singer is the Nigerian singer Burna Boy, and I listened to much of his music while I was in Kenya.
My favorite activity during my week in Nairobi, Kenya was definitely the safari. My friends and I woke up very early to get to the park, and we were able to see many baby animals and rare species of birds, like the king vulture.
During that week, I began rereading one of my favorite books, The Little Prince. This book is about a young prince who travels across the universe, and I first read it when I was about 14 years old. I always enjoy rereading books, and it was nice to have some quiet time during the trip to read.
During that week I did not play any games or sports, but I did watch a cricket game. Cricket is a sport that uses a bat and ball and is similar to baseball. This was my first time watching the game, and although I didn't understand many of the rules, I did have a fun time!
While we were in Nairobi, there was also an art fair at a nearby mall that celebrated local artists and showed their art pieces. I am a big fan of art, and I had a great time looking at the art and speaking with the artists.
