Our News

It was like stepping into another time, surrounded by so much beauty. I loved exploring the peaceful courtyards and the vibrant, colorful flowers in the gardens. It was a magical experience!

What did I read this week?:

This week, I read an article in El País, one of Madrid’s major newspapers. The article covered current events in Spain, including new art exhibits, local festivals, and the latest cultural news around the city. I enjoyed learning about what’s happening in Madrid and how the city is embracing both its history and modern culture. The paper is full of interesting stories, from political updates to lifestyle tips, and it helped me feel more connected to what’s going on in Spain.

What games or sports did I play this week?:

This week, I didn't play any sports, but I enjoyed walking around Madrid and exploring the city, which felt like an adventure in itself! I also had the chance to try a bit of frisbee with some friends in Retiro Park. It was fun and a great way to get some exercise outdoors. While it wasn't a formal game, playing in the park was a nice way to enjoy the sunny weather and be active.

Other news from this week:

This week, I spent time teaching my 3-year-old students in Madrid about Thanksgiving! Since they weren't familiar with the holiday, I focused on making it fun and interactive. We talked about what Thanksgiving is, the idea of being thankful, and how it's celebrated with a big meal. I used simple words and showed them pictures of Thanksgiving foods like turkey, pumpkins, and corn.

I also included a fun song to help them learn the word "thankful." We sang a song that repeated the word “thank you” and clapped along, which they loved!
