All of the English Teaching Assistants, Researchers, and Master's Students sponsored by the Fulbright U.S. Student Program gathered for a conference in the middle of our grant. A lot of grantees gave awesome presentations about their experiences in Spain and teaching best practices.
While I'm currently getting through Sally Rooney's new book "Intermezzo," one thing I like to read in Spanish are travel accounts I follow on Instagram. It's a great way to keep my Spanish reading comprehension skills active, while reading about awesome places to visit. One of my favorites is @cntravelerspain, which is the Spanish version of Condé Nast Traveler Magazine.
I grew up dancing and I'm lucky I have the opportunity to continue dancing in Spain! I take three dance classes each week at a local dance studio: flamenco/sevillanas, ballet, and contemporary.
Some personal news: my roommate (or flatmate here in Europe) ran into some large issues with our landlord, so we had to move out at the end of January. Housing has been one of my biggest challenges here! Anyways, we moved into our new place on February 1st and it is much nicer than our old place!
