A bottle of water can cost anywhere from €1.50 to €3, and you are often in the position to pay this price because the walking can get exhausting. Most cafes won't give you water cups and you must buy a bottle! A silver lining is that the tap water is safe to drink, so if you bring a water bottle with you and find a faucet, you can fill it up.

What was the best meal this week?:

The best meal that I had this week was when I went out to eat with some friends in Trastevere, which is a neighborhood in Rome. We wandered into a restaurant and I had a phenomenal zucchini bruschetta, followed by a bowl of cacio e pepe (pasta with cheese and black pepper). My friend ordered swordfish with tomato salad, and my other friend ordered ragu lasagna. It was absolutely delicious!

What music did I listen to this week?:

When I wander through museums or read my book, I like to listen to classical music. It is a curated form of the genre, as many classical pieces can be dramatically fast or experimental. I like to listen to calm, slow pieces that help me focus and relax. On the other end of the spectrum, my friends and I decided to go out and explore Rome at night during our stay. Rome and Scotland had played eachother in rugby, so Rome was infiltrated with passionate Scots, kilts and all! We had ended up at a Scottish restaurant where there was karaoke from all kinds of artists, from the Italian Dean Martin to the French Stromae! We even heard Green Day. It was wonderful to enjoy all kinds of music with such a diverse crowd.

What activity was the most fun this week?:

I will go on to discuss my trip to Rome, so I'll discuss my other experience on the town with my friend from school.
