






Ziplining is when you’re attached to a long cable by a harness, and you swing to each platform. These cables are very high up from the ground, so it almost feels like you're flying through the forest.
I read a short story called “El Matadero.” It was written by an Argentine poet called Esteban Echeverría. It took me a while to finish reading it because it was all in Spanish.
My classmates, professor and I went rafting on the Sarapiquí River. We sat in an inflatable boat and used long paddles to push ourselves through the water. Although we did the activity for fun, rafting can be considered an extreme or competitive sport.
November 2nd was Día de warmer Muertos which is a holiday that is largely celebrated in Mexico and certain parts of Central and South America. There were some families in the San Joaquín de Flores neighborhood who visited the cemetery where their loved ones rested. They brought gifts and food to place on the graves in order to honor those who have passed on.
