I listened to a lot of different music this week! My commute to work is about 45 minutes, so usually I listen to music on the bus or while walking. This week, my favorites were anything by Laufey or Noah Kahan. My favorite Korean singer, Woodz, also dropped a new album, so I have been listening to that on repeat.
Over the weekend, two friends and I met in the larger city of Daegu and spent the day exploring. While walking around, we noticed a Ferris wheel on the top floor of a gigantic building, so of course, we had to ride it. It was actually pretty scary because it was built on the roof, so we were dangling off the side of a building. The floor of the cabin was made of clear glass, so you could look straight down below you. It even had a karaoke machine inside, so we ended up singing a few songs while hanging hundreds of feet up in the air!
I’ve been reading a lot this week! For fun, I’m reading "An Absolutely Remarkable Thing" by John Green. Some of my Fulbright friends are also writing about their experiences on Substack, and I like reading their posts too.
Every day, I have been playing a game I made called “Hot Takes” with my high school and middle school classes! I put an unpopular opinion on the board: for example, “Samsung is better than Apple”. Then the students move to one side of the classroom if they agree, and the other side if they disagree. The students had a lot of fun playing this activity, and it was a good way for everyone to get to know each other.
