Czech is spoken by everyone here, and because Sumava is so close to Germany, a few people even speak German. A lot of people also speak English, and this is common throughout the Czech Republic.
The main currency in the Czech Republic is Koruny.
A bottle of water typically costs 1 dollar. It also depends on where you buy it. It is typically more expensive in the city.
This week I had traditional Kuřecí roláda chicken and bread dumplings, and it was so good! In the bread dumplings, they put Kopřiva dvoudomá, also known as Common Nettle, which is a common weed and actually stings you if you touch it. Nevertheless, Czech people pick it and cook it into food as a seasoning, and they even make tea with it! The plants are full of antioxidants and vitamins, and they taste great!
I listened to some Czech artists like Michal Tučný and Karel Gott, who are both very famous here and considered classics.
