The cheapest I’ve seen was at the local convenience store, where it can be as low as 88円 or about $0.56!
Hmm, that's a tough one! I think the best food I had this week was the fried banana at the AIU festival. It was a gooey banana covered in a wonton wrap. It was deep fried, then smothered in chocolate sauce. Genuinely may be the best thing I’ve eaten in a while. Plus, it's super easy to make at home!
I actually don’t listen to a lot of music. However, I have been listening to the song “Where’d All the Time Go” by Dr. Dog! This song really scratches a specific itch in my brain that I don’t know how to explain. Also, the song's topic is something I’ve been reflecting on a lot, recently. It feels like just yesterday that I was a freshman in high school, and soon, I’ll be graduating University. This is, of course, not meant to scare you. It's simply a reminder of how wonderful it is to build new nostalgia through creating memories. I can’t wait to see how I’ll remember this trip in the years to come, and how it will have changed my perspective as a person!
A lot of you were wondering why I am in Japan studying to be an English teacher. That's a fair question! AIU works deeply with the local community to help promote English as a language with local schools and individuals. This allows us to help people learn English, and give study abroad students a chance to connect with local communities. I took part in activities related to this, this week.
So!
