India uses the Indian rupee (64.73 Indian rupees = $1USD), Bangladesh uses the taka (84.15 taka = $1USD), Pakistan uses the Pakistani rupee (105.31 Pakistani rupees = $1USD) and China uses the yuan (6.59 yuan = $1USD).
One liter of water costs 0.20 sen (cents) to refill. Taps in the hostel are unfiltered, so we buy our drinking water from a filtering machine located on the first floor. Because of the heat we typically drink four or five 1.5-liter bottles of water a day. That’s a total of six or seven liters of water a day, or a little more than three liters of water per person!
My birthday feast! Last week my friend was feeling sick and was admitted to the hospital, so we went to the hospital to celebrate my birthday with her! Now she is feeling much better and has been released from the hospital. Laughter truly is the best medicine!
