What main languages are spoken here?:

Singapore has four official languages, which are English, Malay, Mandarin and Tamil. Besides English, the other three languages match the major ethnic groups in Singapore (Malaysian, Chinese and Indian, respectively). English is the language used for teaching in schools and the main language in government departments.

What type of money is used here?:

Singapore's official currency is the Singapore dollar (SGD). Paper money and coins are used. The main differences between Singapore dollars and U.S. dollars are that Singapore's lowest form of money is five cents (they don't have pennies), and instead of $1 bills, they have $1 coins. It's very common to see people spending $2 bills.

How much does a bottle of water cost?:

A bottle of water is usually around $1.50 SGD. Interestingly enough, I have yet to find a place to buy a whole case of water. At most supermarkets and stores, you can only buy individual bottles.

What was the best meal this week?:

The best meal this week was the spring rolls that I had at a Thai food stall. They were delicious and came with a kind of soy sauce for dipping! Yum!

What music did I listen to this week?:

I listened to some of my favorite songs from my favorite movies (The Lord of the Rings).
