My friends and I were surprised to find that the tacos tasted just like the tacos we've had back home!
Now that the weather is getting warmer, I've been listening to lighter and happier songs. My favorite artist this week has been AKMU, a brother and sister duo that has a great selection of ballads and pop songs.
My favorite activity was volunteering at the animal shelter! One of my favorite ways to explore new cities is to discover and support local organizations. I enjoyed meeting the workers and seeing how passionate they are about animal welfare.
I visited my school library and borrowed the most read book among Yonsei students this month: The Course of Love by Alain de Botton. The novel is about the everyday moments and feelings in one couple's marriage. It's insightful to see what types of stories local students are interested in reading.
I've been practicing with the Yonsei volleyball team twice a week. We had a practice game against Korea University's team and afterward, our teams ate dinner together.
I tried shopping for shoes this week, but it's extremely hard to find my shoe size in Seoul. The average shoe size for women in Korea is much smaller than the average shoe size for women in the United States. Like many other foreigners, I will most likely have to buy shoes online during my time here.
