The weather was lovely! Korea as a whole has warmed up quite a bit with the recent arrival of spring, and traveling down south meant that it was even warmer than my hometown! It was also the perfect weather to visit the green tea fields near Gwangju, as the leaves on the plants had just started growing and were a bright green.
Unfortunately I didn't see many animals out and about in the Gwangju countryside, but hopefully that's just because I didn't visit any mountainous or hiking area this past week. As usual, though, I saw a lot of stray cats out and about.
While I was walking outside, I came across a bamboo forest and was shocked by how large and tall the bamboo was. I had always imagined bamboo to be a thin and weak plant.
The weather has been getting a little bit more humid recently. I'm hoping that the pleasant spring weather will last a little bit longer, though, especially since our school air conditioner has been broken.
