It's quickly getting warm here in Chengdu! I actually really hate summer weather, especially the humidity that comes with it. I remember taking a summer vacation to Puerto Rico and spending most of my time in air-conditioned cars and stores. It took me a while to snap out of it so I could properly enjoy the beauty of Puerto Rico. Currently, Chengdu is extremely muggy and humid and the locals tell me that it's only just spring. Summer is still yet to come! Uh oh!
I visited the Panda Breeding Base here in Chengdu. The country of China is famous for its pandas and Chengdu is especially famous for being the home to panda breeding bases. A friend I met on my last trip to Chongqing came to visit me in Chengdu so we went together. We had to wake up at 6 AM so that we could get to the base as early as possible, because the baby pandas are fed early in the morning and they go to sleep right after. It was a rough morning, but it was worth it! The pandas were too cute.
