When I traveled around Europe, I noticed that people use many different ways to get from place to place. Each country has its own special kinds of transportation that help people move around their cities and towns. It was fun to see how each place uses what works best for their environment and their way of life.
People use many different kinds of transportation to get around in Europe. In Dublin, lots of people ride big electric buses with two levels. These buses go all around the city. They also ride the Luas, which is a tram that runs on tracks above the ground. When you travel to other parts of Ireland, people use the Irish Rail, a train that goes through wide fields where you can see sheep and cows on either side.
In France, in the city of Paris, people mostly use an underground subway called the Metro, and they also use regular city buses. In Germany, people can ride fast above-ground trains called the Intercity-Express, where you can look out of the window and see the countryside rushing by!
