I did a little city tour with a group of travelers from my hostel (who are now my friends) around New Delhi. All in all, we traveled 35 miles.
Including all the flights, long bus rides, cabs, walks, and hikes these past two months, I believe I have traveled roughly 3,500 miles on this journey so far! Of course, that isn't taking into account the 7000 miles fI traveled from the U.S.A. to India.
I got around New Delhi is so many ways! I have traveled in a cab (normal car), by auto-rickshaw, by bicycle rickshaws, on the metro and in a bus.
I went to Little Tibet this week with one of my mentors and the other intern at iProbono. That visit was the subject of my previous submission regarding the plight of Tibetan refugees in India. This was an important trip for me in terms of better understanding the Tibetan people and the obstacles that face young Tibetans who do not enjoy the same freedoms and privileges of citizenship afforded to their Indian peers, despite having been born in India.
