The weather this week was a little bit gloomy, but luckily we had several nice days towards the end of the week. There was a little talk of some snow, but it was not cold enough for snow yet. Many locals say it only snows once a year in Logroño. I am waiting! I miss snow, so I was a little bit sad when it rained instead.
During my time in Bilbao, the weather was a little bit warmer than Logroño. This is because it is closer to the water, which is called the Bay of Biscay. In the winter, the water holds the heat, so it makes the nearby city a little bit warmer. It is the same way in Chicago, since Chicago is on Lake Michigan.
Last weekend, I spent the afternoon in Haro, which is a town near Logroño. I went to lunch with my friends and at the restaurant they had many chickens walking around outside. There was one duck, or at least I think it was a duck, that had a red face. It was swimming in the water close to all of the other chickens.
