This week, I traveled to Bilbao, Spain. It is about 2 hours by bus from Logroño. My friends and I met at the bus station in our town and then took the bus from there. It was 16 euros to get to Bilbao and back. The drive there is beautiful because the bus weaves through the mountains.
So far, I have done a lot of traveling. I have traveled to 21 cities within Spain and I am not done yet! I also counted that I have taken 10 flights on an airplane since I arrived in September. I still have 6 more months left here, so I plan on taking many more small trips before I have to go home. This coming weekend, I will be flying to Tenerife, which is in the Canary Islands. I will have to fly there and back, too!
This week, I took the public bus to school and walked everywhere else around Logroño. When I went to Bilbao with my friends, we took a coach bus there and back. We also had to catch a bus from the city center of Bilbao to Gaztalugatxi, which was about one hour away. It was 2.55 euros for the bus. Then, we decided to take a taxi to the start of the hike down the mountain because it was much faster. Taxis are very similar to the United States because they have a meter that tells you how much it is as you are driving!
