The best meal I had this week was a croqueta filled with a hard-boiled egg. Croquetas are a typical type of Spanish food. They are fried balls with some kind of filling and they taste delicious. Sometimes croquetas are filled with Iberian ham and cheese, mushrooms, or fish. The one that I had this week, had an entire hard boiled egg inside! You can imagine it was huge! I like eggs, so it was tasty for me.
This week, my students showed me a new song called "La Cintura" by Alvaro Soler. It is in Spanish. When my students are working on independent activities, I sometimes play songs for them. They requested this song and I liked the rhythm and the beat. We listened to it two times in a row at school and they all sang along!
The most fun activity that I did this week was go hiking down Gaztalugatxe, which is a huge mountain near Bilbao. It was very steep to climb down and I was exhausted when we got back to the bottom. It was a beautiful view from the top of the peninsula!
I read a part of my Spain: Travel Guide Book by Rick Steves. He is famous for writing travel guide books. I read information about Bilbao and Gaztalugatxi, the mountain I hiked. It gave me information on the best restuarants to eat at, sites to visit and easiest modes of transportation. I am thankful for my guide book!
