How far did I travel this week?:

The lagoon that I went to this week was about an hour and a half away from my house! We traveled through many mountains to get there.

How far have I traveled on this journey so far?:

The farthest that I have traveled was three hours away to a town called San Gil (San Heel). It is known as the city of adventure sports! I went white water rafting and paragliding for the first time. I hope to return to try bungee jumping!

How did I get around this week?:

I take the public bus all the time! There is a bus stop about seven blocks from my apartment that travels directly to my university. It takes about 15 minutes to get there. Though sometimes, in the afternoon, traffic is so bad it takes 50 minutes to get back!

What was the most interesting place I visited this week?:

The most interesting place that I visited this week was the Represa de Topocoro lagoon. There are no bodies of water in Bucaramanga so to see a beautiful lagoon in the middle of the mountains felt magical!

This week a friend visited me from Tunja (pronounced Toon-ha), which is eight hours away from Bucaramanga and an hour and a half from Bogotá, the capital of Colombia. She was so happy that we had sunny, warm weather!
