My Adventure in The Venado Caves!

Las Cavernas de Venado (The Venado Caves) are located in the Arenal Volcano National Park. I can’t wait to show you pictures of inside the caves and all of the cool animals that live in there!

Here is one of the many creatures that live inside of the caves, alongside bats, tarantulas and more!
The caves are made out of a 2,700-meter stretch of limestone that formed some 15 to 20 million years ago
I am about to climb through a part of the cave called “The Birth Canal”
There were many places where we had to either climb up the sides of the caves or squeeze through small sections
While there are stalactites hanging from the ceiling, stalagmites grow from the cave floor
Stalactites hanging from the ceiling of a cave
We wore helmets with flashlights attached to them to see in the very dark caves.
This was such a cool experience and one I will remember forever!
