I wonder if one day I will be fluent enough to unlock all their secrets.
Soon, I'll be going on a field trip down the length of Taiwan. I took a field geology course to take a break from all the politics and economics and to give myself the opportunity to go on a four-day field trip exploring key nature spots. Taiwan lies on a fault line, and this has resulted in many unique geological formations that I will be visiting over the weekend. I can't help but still connect the topic back to the social sciences, particularly human geography. For example, the dispersion of different types of soil across the island ultimately affected human settlement patterns, rising industries and voting patterns.
