My roommate, Sonya, is 19 years old. She was born and raised here in Leipzig! Sonya and I have lived together in the same apartment since September, so about three months now. We have gotten to know each other well, and she has been great at helping me practice my German language. I'm excited for you to learn a bit more about her, and her life here in Germany!
My name is Sonya Cornelia Hecht.
I live in a four-person student apartment, which has been newly renovated. It is a historic apartment building in the southern part of Leipzig.
We are a five-person family. I am the oldest sister, and I have two crazy younger brothers. My parents are upper-middle class, and are very hospitable, determined, hardworking, and direct.
To get around the city, I usually go by foot or with my bike. For longer distances, I use either the buses, trams, or the inner city railways (S-Bahn).
