The Excitement of Traveling in Spain!

I recognize a bus stop by the sign on the side and the people usually sitting on the bench waiting. Some buses have the same number but go in different directions, so you have to pay attention to the name on the front. Usually, on the buses, you can get a great seat with windows all around. By my school, it’s a very nice tourist area. So, there are hundreds, maybe even thousands, of people shopping, sightseeing and enjoying the weather.

Is this way of getting around connected to the culture and environment, How?:

Yes, you see so many people! So much uniqueness and community. Even during the annual festival week they have here, called La Mercè, the city allows the metros and buses to run for 24 hours. This is so everyone in Barcelona can get home safely, since events take place every single night. I thought that was pretty cool. Even before getting on certain trains, while walking through the tunnels or on the actual trains, there are people performing the most beautiful songs to make money. Some people rap, while others try to sell clothing or candy. It’s such an interactive space, something like a video game! Colors, action, fun! Like I said, even when there are only a few people, you’re never alone, and I think that truly represents Barcelona. People are closer here than in America; they care for each other and rely on their neighbors.
