In the introduction video call I had with Ms. Matzner’s lovely third/fourth grade class, my homestay brother, Arnau, actually popped in at the end to see what I was doing! While living with him and his family, I learned that we have so much in common. For starters, Arnau and I share the same birthday, November 10th. We got to learn more about each other as time passed and we have grown even closer than ever.
He’s helped me with so many assignments while I’ve been here. In fact, he was the lead actor in a short film I made for my photography class, based on his favorite show, Demon Slayer. We’re always on TikTok looking up fun effects and he loves playing Roblox, Clash Royale and two-player games on my phone.
In such a short time, we’ve bonded so much. I love laughing and playing with him (and his katanas!). When I saw that we had to do a Field Note on the life of a kid, I knew I had the perfect person for it. Arnau has been such a breath of fresh air to be around, and I hope you enjoy learning about his life through this interview.
