Here in Quito, you can experience all the seasons in one day! For example, our mornings start off a little chilly and a light jacket is needed when heading out. By lunch time the sun is shining extra bright, so I take off the light jacket I wore that morning. By late afternoon, the clouds roll in and we get rain showers. By that point I'm so grateful for the rain because the sun can be intense during the day. As the sun goes down and the moon starts to shine, we come full circle to a chilly night.
Where I work you can easily see cows, horses and roosters. Some families in rural towns raise these animals in their own backyard! As I walk to work, I hear the cow moo, the horses neigh and the rooster crow.
