The weather is getting ever colder! I saw my first winter frost this week, although it melted fairly quickly.
There are fewer and fewer animals around as the temperature continues to drop. Many of the birds that migrate south for the winter have already left.
The coolest thing I saw was all the leaves changing colors along the Main River in Wiesbaden. It looked just like a postcard photograph.
I learned that the name "the Netherlands" literally means "low country," and the Netherlands are called as such because over two-thirds of the land there is below sea level. There is a lot of danger of flooding around this time of year.
