Graz has its own Schloss, and another famous one is located in Salzburg, where The Sound of Music was filmed.
One challenge that I've experienced living in a country with so many mountains is the temperature. Austria is COLD! I first moved to Austria in August, and while it was 95°F at home in New Jersey, it was only 65°F in Graz! Winters are freezing and snowy, and you can see snow year round in parts of Austria. The first time I ever visited Austria, I visited a glacier and had a snowball fight during a blizzard in the middle of July!
If a country has year-round cold and snow, that means you can play in the snow all yea,r too! Austrians love to Ski fahren, or go skiing! There are ski slopes all over the country, and Austrians love to spend time on the mountain with friends and family. That's one thing I'd love to do before I go home, too, since I've never been skiing before! There's also plenty of good food that is made to warm you up on a cold winter day. Fried schnitzel and cheesy spatzle are two favorites. It's almost like the best fried porkchop and macaroni and cheese you'll ever eat. It tastes delicious and warms you up!
