We were very lucky because it was sunny with partly cloudy skies for most of the days we were in Rome. During the day, it did not get too hot or cold which made walking around easier. At night, the temperatures were a little chilly but it felt good after being out in the sun all day.
The main animals I saw this week were birds, seagulls and pigeons. Because I was so close to the coast, the seagulls drifted inland trying to find food. The pigeons were all over the plazas and parks we visited in Rome!
The coolest thing I saw in nature this week was the sunrise over the Vatican City. It was a beautiful sight to see the sunlight breaking the darkness of the early morning in the Vatican.
Most of the pizza I ate while in Rome was made with fresh, locally grown tomatoes, and it was therefore delicious!
