This week in Bonn and Essen, the weather was absolutely gorgeous! It felt like summertime in October. It was difficult to know how to dress for the weather because it was often cold in the morning and warm in the afternoon.
I saw many families of ducks in the ponds of the botanical garden. There were different types of fish in the water, and tadpoles as well! The water was murky with algae and other aquatic plants, so I'm sure the animals had a lot of things that they could eat.
The autumn leaves were so stunning to see. All of the colors of the trees made me really appreciate this season in Germany. Back home in the U.S., it often gets too cold too quickly to enjoy the leaves changing colors.
