Hi, my name is Sasha! I am a Peace Corps Volunteer. The Peace Corps is an organization that sends Americans all over the world to help in other countries. I help in Lesotho by being a teacher! My school has around 250 students in grades 1 to 7. I will work at my school until December 2025, and then I will come home. My school is located in a village, high up in the mountains of Lesotho. I live with a host family and I love my host mom so much!
Growing up, I always knew I wanted to join the Peace Corps. I love traveling, and I wanted to help people after graduating college in 2023. Now that I am almost halfway done with my Peace Corps service, I know it is the best decision I could have made. Lesotho is my second home. It is such a beautiful country, and everyone here is so grateful. I love working with my students as well! I teach English lessons in all seven grades.
