Transportation in Ireland is relatively similar to the type of transportation that exists in the United States, but it always takes time to learn the most efficient way to get around in a new environment, especially in relation to where to catch the bus and which bus line to take.
The type of transportation depends on where you are and the size of the town. Since many people do not live in the city, they need a car to get around. Most cars in Ireland are actually stick-shifts (as opposed to automatic transmission) so you have to make sure to not walk behind one because it might roll backward! Many of the roads in Ireland are small and curvy, so you have to make sure to pay attention.
