This week was such a perfect example of how amazing it is to live in France! I was able to enjoy everything from the snow in the Chartreuse Mountains to the glimmering lights of the streets of Paris.
Hi everyone, my name is Sidney Barbier and I am studying climate science at the Universite Grenoble-Alpes in France! I am so excited to share my new experiences, research, and adventures with you all!
This week was such a perfect example of how amazing it is to live in France! I was able to enjoy everything from the snow in the Chartreuse Mountains to the glimmering lights of the streets of Paris.
After travelling across the Atlantic with my viola, I was able to find community, culture, and a creative outlet for myself through my music from Grenoble to Paris to Vienna!
I chose to live in Grenoble because it is such a unique city in the heart of a river valley and is surrounded by mountains and ski resorts, but after living here, I learned it is so much more.
I spent a week at the Col de Lauterat field site in the French Alpes where I was able to dive deep into snow science through snow pits, a snow depth survey, spectroscopy, radar, and so much more!
