An Interview With A Fellow Student: Romane Chavagnac

Introduction:

Romane Chavagnac is a Master's student at the Université Grenoble Alpes. She has travelled and studied climate science in Norway, loves the outdoors, and is the president of a student association focused on environmental advocacy. 

What is your full name?:

Hi, my name is Romane Chavagnac. 

Where do you live? What is your house like?:

I currently live in Saint-Martin d'Heres in a pretty big appartment which I share with one roomate. I live on the 5th floor and have a really nice view of Belledonne (mountain range).

What is your family like?:

I have one younger brother, two younger sisters, and one older step-brother. My parents are both teachers. My family lives in a small village near Chamonix. 

How do you get around?:

Grenoble is a very bikeable city, and I almost always take my bike to class and around town. For traveling longer distances, I can take the tram and trains to get back to my hometown. 

What types of clothing do you like to wear?:

I wear mostly outdoor/athletic wear and lots of sweaters in the winter. 

What do you like to do in your free time?:

I love doing sports and being in nature. I love backcountry skiing, biking, running, and rock climbing.
