From the roof of the cathedral, I could see stunning views of the town of Salamanca. Plus, this view provided me with an up-close look at the intricate designs of these medieval roofs and spires.
In other travel news, I am planning a trip over the upcoming Halloween vacation break. I plan to visit Bilbao and San Sebastian, two cities in the province of Basque Country. This province is a few hours east of my home in Asturias, but it is still on the northern coast of Spain. I am excited to sightsee in new cities and to sample the food typical in this region, especially the famous Basque cheesecake!
