Delicious Dinner in Lima, Perú

Introduction:

Peruvian food has many delicious ingredients, techniques (ways of cooking food), and interesting history. Peruvian food is particularly influenced by its history from its indigenous empires and Spanish colonial years to the enslavement of African people in Peru and the immigration of Middle Eastern, Chinese, Japanese, and Italian people. Peruvian food is often described as being the result of a fusion (mix) of many different places and people.

What food did I try?:

There are so many restaurants in my neighborhood. I had many options to choose from! I went to a Peruvian resturant right next to a beautiful park. I ordered seco de res con tacu tacu, stewed beef with tacu tacu. I was particularly excited to try tacu tacu.

How did I feel when I tried it?:

I was very excited to try tacu tacu! Tacu tacu is a typical Peruvian dish, and it is also a dish I had not tried before. It was very good, and I was glad that I had ordered it. The tacu tacu went very nicely with the beef on the side, but there are other ways of cooking this dish: there is tacu tacu with seafood, tacu tacu with potatoes, with egg, and more!
