We got really lucky during our travels in Germany and France to have really beautiful weather. Every day was at least 70 degrees with sunny skies and a light refreshing breeze. In Finland, the weather was less than ideal. It was very cold and rained one day. I like the cold, though, so it wasn't too bad!
This week, I was mostly in big cities, so I didn't see too many animals. In Paris, I saw many birds (pigeons mostly) and squirrels.
The coolest things I was in nature were the birch trees in Finland. These trees have white bark and are quite plentiful there. Finland exports a lot of wood. When I walked past a pile of ground-up birch wood, I immediately recognized the smell - it was the same wood we used in my hamster's cage when I was younger!
