A True Melting Pot

As I have said before, Singapore's culture and community is one that insists on cleanliness, both in the sense of good health and maintaining a clean city.  For this reason, hawker centres were created so that food vendors in a particular area are all contained within a designated area. This makes it easier for customers to choose and find a bite to eat and also allows for proper cleanup and disposal. Often times, your food is given on a tray and you return the tray to a cleanup location, where the utensils and dishes are washed and reused by the stalls. This makes for a very fast, effective and cheap dining option which I have loved from the moment I arrived here.
