






Here in Barcelona, people speak Castellano (Spanish), and Catalán, a local language in this region of Spain. Catalán is an interesting language with a mix of Spanish and French sounds. More than nine million people in Spain speak Catalán.
The Euro is the currency used all around Spain. It looks very different from the dollar, and the value is just about the same.
A bottle of water costs 1.60 euros, which is 1.75 U.S. dollars. Very similar!
I really enjoyed eating gazpacho, a tomato soup made with other vegetables, that is served cold. We put it in a mug and drink it like coffee!
I listened to Taylor Swift's new album, in addition to Rosalía, a popular singer from Spain.
The best thing I did this week was go to the Correfoc Festival, which translates to "Fire Run" festival. This was a festival to celebrate a Virgin Saint. There were fireworks, street demonstrations and many exciting people to share it with.
