We are now at the end of our three-month-long journey together here in Paris and Wisconsin. Saying goodbye is never easy, whether it's to family, friends or places. First, I'd like to thank everyone who has come along on this journey with me. As this is my last post, I'd like to give my last thoughts on this whole experience with you and about my year here, as well as some final remarks.

Through my articles, I've explored the realities of studying abroad, talking about its joys and difficulties. I have always pointed out how easy it is to visit new places, yet how difficult it is to live in new places. I haven't talked yet, though, about how it feels to leave France. At the end of time studying abroad, you are so caught up in trying to survive and enjoy the experience, that the end of it all always seems to sneak up on you. As I write this, I am planning to return to the U.S. in less than ten weeks, and I can't help but feel like I didn't use my time wisely here. Yes, I traveled as much as I could afford to, tried the foods I wanted to try and met the people I hoped to meet, but for some reason, it just doesn't feel like enough! I know that Europe will always be here, but I also know that the realities of life can easily catch up with you.
