What main languages are spoken here?:

Dutch is the main language spoken in the Netherlands. Dutch is a fun language to learn because it sounds like a mix between English and German. For example, to say 'thank you' in Dutch is 'dank je' and in German it is 'danke.' 

What type of money is used here?:

They use euros here, which is a currency shared and used in most European countries. Much like how quarters in the US have symbols for different American states, the coins have different markings for different countries. However, the bills are the same in every country. The bills are all different colors and display European architecture during various artistic periods. One side of the bill shows windows or gateways and the other side shows bridges. 

How much does a bottle of water cost?:

Water costs €1 or €2. How much do you think this would be in U.S. dollars?

What was the best meal this week?:

I shared a meal of vegetarian chili with my friends on Saturday. It was cozy and delicious!

What music did I listen to this week?:

After visiting Spain last weekend, I was inspired to listen to the music I heard there. It's called "reggaeton" that usually comes from Latin America. 

What activity was the most fun this week?:

I went to an Excelsior game, which is my local Rotterdam soccer team.
