Italian! Most people working in restaurants or in touristy areas knew English, so communication wasn't a problem during this adventure.
Euros!
A bottle of water costs three euros, while a cup of espresso costs two euros.
My favorite meal of the day is breakfast, so even though I was in Italy, a country known for pizza and pasta, the best meal for me this week was mascarpone pancakes with strawberries and blueberries, with espresso as the beverage.
This week I listened to my relaxation playlist (with songs like "Drift Away" by Dobie Gray and "You Can't Stop the Girl" by Bebe Rexha). Most of the music played in Italian restaurants and German stores is 2010 pop music, so it's a small throwback for me.
