On Friday, I went to visit Newgrange, one of the oldest man-made structures in the world (64.4 km/40 miles from UCD). Newgrange was part of an IFSA (Insitute for Study Abroad) trip, so how could I pass up a free trip to one of the oldest historical sites! I also went to the National Gallery of Ireland (5km/3 miles from UCD) as a solo date for my 21st birthday! A very lovely afternoon by myself.
From Houston to Dublin, then to the east and south coasts of Ireland, plus a little north, I've traveled a total of 5,864 miles (or 9,437 kilometeres)! I've been to places like Kilkenny, Howth, Newgrange, Galway, Cliffs of Moher and Cork.
The bus has been my best friend since the day I got here. The green double-decker buses are my go to to get anywhere. The bus system works with a Leap Card that you tap everytime you get on a bus or train, and thankfully college students get a discounted fare of one euro!
