How far did I travel this week?:

This week, most of my travels stayed close to home. The farthest I traveled was a round trip from my house to Angkor Borei, which is about 20 kilometers total. Angkor Borei is a nearby town that holds historical and cultural importance. Aside from that trip, my movement this week followed familiar routes. I walked to school, visited the wat with my host family and rode my bicycle for exercise.

How far have I traveled on this journey so far?:

Over the course of my time in Cambodia, I have traveled from Takeo Province to Siem Reap, which is several hours away by road. Takeo is mostly rural, with quiet roads, rice fields and small villages. Siem Reap, on the other hand, is more developed and known for Angkor Wat Temple complex. Seeing both places helped me understand the range of experiences within one country.

How did I get around this week?:

I get around mostly by walking and riding my bicycle. I’m not allowed to drive or ride a motorbike because of safety concerns, even though motos are the most common form of transportation here. Walking and biking slow everything down, but they also help me feel more connected to my surroundings

What was the most interesting place I visited this week?:
