My flight from Buenos Aires to Lima will take about five hours. If I tried to drive instead, it would take about 52 hours and be around 2,424 miles! To get there by car, I would also have to drive through another country called Chile before reaching Peru.
Some other countries I have visited in South America include Uruguay, Chile and Brazil. Peru will be the farthest I have traveled from Argentina so far! Most of my flights have been around two and a half hours long, so a five hour flight feels like a big trip for me.
Usually, I take el colectivo (the bus) to school. It is a lot like the buses I take in New York City, but there are a few differences. Here, you have to wave to the bus driver to flag the bus down, or the bus might drive right past you! You also have to tell the driver which stop you are going to, because the price of the ride depends on how far you travel.
