I didn't travel too far this week. I stayed in Tetouan, except for the day trip to Oued Laou, (30 miles) and I spent the weekend in Tangier (40 miles).
Are you keeping count? I think it has been over 3,000 miles!
I took petite-taxis around the city of Tetouan and grand-taxis to get everywhere else.
Oued Laou was very interesting. It's more secluded than Tetouan, it's further up the Mediterranean coast, and it's a small fishing village. It was really nice and calming to walk around there and to enjoy the beach and the sights!
I also got to try out some new restaurants in Tangier this week. I've been to Tangier many times since it's so close by, but I'd never been to Darna (meaning "our house" in Arabic), where we got couscous on Friday. Darna is a woman's collective organization, meaning not only is it a restaurant but it is also a place that supports women's businesses and sells products made exclusively by women.
