Three hours away from my campus.
I have traveled to another city, Chang Mai, which is a tourist area. I also travel to another province every other week because that's a part of my program. Since it is over 9,400 miles from Florida to Thailand, I have traveled almost 10,000 miles total.
I usually get around by foot. If I'm not walking, I use "grab transportation," which is the American equivalent to Uber, or my Thai roommate brings me places on her motorbike.
My homestay village.
This week, I tried a new restaurant called Eights A Day. They're known for selling American sandwiches. I went there for lunch with my classmates. I ordered a boiled egg, roasted chicken and mixed cheese sandwich with some skinny fries. I love fries. Places like Eights A Day are interesting to visit because there aren't a lot of sandwich shops in Khon Kaen, since sandwiches are an American dish. It's always fun visiting Americanized places and determining how well they actually mimic America.
