Three days after leaving Larjung, we arrived in Ghorepani, another small village in the north-central part of the Himalayas. The next morning I got up at 4:30 am and went on a sunrise hike to a place called Poon Hill. It was very tough because it was a 1,000-foot climb in the dark and cold, but it was very rewarding and beautiful! It felt like first I was walking through the stars and the outline of gigantic mountains, and then the sun was touching the tips of these same mountains.
