I traveled to Santorini, which is over 2,000 km from Amsterdam!
Santorini is the farthest that I have traveled so far. This may be the farthest that I travel during my year in the Netherlands. Most other places that I would like to visit are in western Europe.
I used almost all forms of transportation! I flew on a plane, took a train, rode in a taxi, hopped on a ferry, navigated buses and walked. It was definitely tricky to understand the public transportation signs, which were all in Greek!
I thought all of Greece was interesting! Each spot offered something unique. Athens was a window to ancient history and Santorini was a stunning volcanic island.
